Delete your account
You can delete your Medi Govexa account at any time. This page explains how, what we delete, and what we keep for a limited time. For full details, read our Privacy Policy.
Delete in the app (patients)
- Open the Medi Govexa app and go to Profile.
- Tap Settings.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm.
You cannot delete your account during an active ambulance booking. Finish or cancel the booking first.
Delete by email (drivers, and anyone who cannot use the app)
There is no delete button in driver mode yet, so ambulance drivers ask by email. Anyone else who cannot use the app can do the same.
- Write to admin@medigovexa.com from any email address.
- Use the subject "Delete my Medi Govexa account".
- Include the mobile number registered with the app.
We will check that the number is yours, for example by calling it or sending a code to it. We then complete the deletion within 30 days.
What is deleted at once
- Your profile: name, mobile number, age, gender and area.
- Your sign-in account. You are signed out on all phones.
- Your support chat messages.
- Your device records used to send app notifications.
- For drivers: your driver profile and your driving licence and vehicle RC photos.
What is kept, and for how long
Some records are kept for safety, to handle disputes, and to meet legal duties:
- Ambulance booking records, including the pickup address and the name and number entered for that booking, and drivers' trip records.
- Call and contact history (hospitals called or asked for directions to, and telecaller calls started from the app).
We keep these for 3 years, then delete them.
App usage statistics are kept without anything that identifies you.
